Enjoy home daily schedules (Fri–Tue with Wed/Thu off), start times from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and about 50–60 hours per week. Paid six‑day training at $200/day and opportunity to earn additional activity-based pay are offered.

Qualifications

We're hiring Class A CDL Truck Drivers for a local intermodal driving position based in Haslet, Texas. This opportunity offers daily home time, consistent intermodal freight, paid training, and multiple opportunities to earn additional activity-based pay.

Drivers transport intermodal containers between rail yards and customer locations throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Most freight is no-touch, with a combination of drop-and-hook and live load/unload assignments.

This position is ideal for CDL-A drivers looking for local work with evening or overnight shifts and two consecutive weekdays off.

Pay & Compensation

• Average Weekly Earnings: $1,250–$1,350
• Average Annual Earnings: Approximately $72,000
• Mileage Pay: $0.44–$0.54 per mile, based on years of service
• Average Weekly Miles: Approximately 900
• Drop-and-Hook Pay: $35 per move
• Live Load/Unload Pay: $50
• HazMat Load Pay: $25
• Refrigerated Load Pay: $30
• Driver Assist Pay: $25
• Additional Pay: Available for qualifying detention, yard work, equipment moves, and other activities
• Paid Training: $200 per day for six days

Actual earnings depend on mileage, assigned loads, qualifying activities, and applicable pay rates.

Schedule & Home Time

• Home Daily
• Friday through Tuesday schedule
• Wednesday and Thursday off
• Start times between 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM
• Approximately 10–12 hour shifts
• Average 50–60 hours per week
• Approximately four loads per day, depending on freight
• Final start times and schedules are assigned during orientation based on availability

Drivers must be flexible with available evening and overnight schedules.

Job Responsibilities

• Transport intermodal containers between rail yards and customer locations.
• Operate throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.
• Complete local routes generally within approximately 120 miles of the metro area, with some assignments extending up to 150 miles from Haslet.
• Perform drop-and-hook trailer movements.
• Complete live load and unload appointments when assigned.
• Transport containers and chassis between rail facilities and customer locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery and transportation records.
• Follow DOT regulations, rail-yard procedures, and company safety requirements.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding loads, delays, and equipment concerns.

Driver Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
• Minimum 3 months of qualifying tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must reside within approximately 40 miles of Haslet, TX 76052.
• Must be available for Friday–Tuesday shifts.
• Must be comfortable with evening and overnight start times.
• Must obtain a HazMat endorsement within 60 days after orientation.
• HazMat endorsement costs are the driver's responsibility.
• Must be comfortable operating slip-seat equipment.
• Must meet applicable DOT and company safety qualifications.
• No pets or passengers permitted.
• SAP drivers are not eligible for this position.

Paid Training

• Six days of paid training in Haslet, TX
• Training Pay: $200 per day
• Initial orientation followed by hands‑on training with an experienced trainer
• Drivers follow their trainer's schedule during the training period
