Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a Local CDL-A Intermodal Driver to handle local container freight with a nightly schedule and daily home time. You will operate a mix of drop & hook and live freight, averaging about 1,175 miles per week and occasional hazmat work paid for with reimbursement.

The role offers a consistent schedule from Tuesday through Saturday, starting at 7:00 PM, with typical 10-hour days and around 50 hours per week.

Qualifications

• CDL-A with valid DOT medical card.
• Minimum 3 months verifiable CDL-A experience.
• Must be comfortable overnight and slip-seat as needed.
• Clean driving record; no SAP drivers.
• Ability to work Tuesday–Saturday, 7:00 PM start.

Responsibilities

Pay Details

• Average Weekly Pay: $1,600-$1,700
• New hires average $1,403/week during the first 3-6 months
• $5,000 Bonus
• Safety Bonus: up to $1,000/year
• Exception pay for detention, breakdowns, rail delays, empty moves, and more
• Holiday pay after 90 days for 6 major holidays
