Thedrivingdesk is hiring Class A CDL drivers for a local intermodal role based in Avenel, NJ. This position features daily home time, a 4-day work week, and competitive pay with mileage and load pay, plus steady intermodal freight.

You will haul intermodal containers between rail facilities and customer locations, with three days off each week and weekend shifts available. Live within 50 miles of Avenel, NJ to qualify.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 6 months of tractor-trailer experience.
• Comfortable hauling intermodal containers.
• Able to complete multiple trailer hookups each shift.
• Available to work a weekend schedule.
• Must live within 50 miles of Avenel, NJ.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening, background check, and company hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer hauling intermodal containers.
• Complete approximately 3–4 or more trailer hookups per shift.
• Transport freight between rail yards, terminals, and customer locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain electronic logs and DOT compliance.
• Work with dispatch to ensure safe, on-time deliveries.
