The Driving Desk is hiring a Class A CDL driver for a local intermodal position based in Avenel, NJ. You will haul intermodal containers between rail facilities and customer locations, enjoying a 4-day work week and home daily on a daily schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 6 months tractor-trailer experience.
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening and background checks.
• Local intermodal driving within 50 miles of Avenel, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer hauling intermodal containers.
• Complete multiple trailer hookups per shift (3–4+).
• Transport freight between rail yards, terminals and customer locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain logs in compliance with DOT.
