Job summary

Thedrivingdesk in Valparaiso, IN is seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers for a local grocery delivery role. Home daily with day and night shifts; weekend work required; year-round local freight to Northern Indiana and Chicago.

You will operate late-model day cabs, unload with an electric pallet jack, and perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections. Compensation is activity-based with unload, stop, and orientation pay, plus a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Current DOT Medical Card must be maintained.
• Minimum age 23 years old.
• Dry van or refrigerated experience preferred.
• Ability to unload freight using an electric pallet jack.
• Strong customer service skills and DOT compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver palletized grocery freight to retail store locations.
• Safely operate Class A CDL equipment.
• Unload freight using an electric pallet jack.
• Place pallets in designated store locations.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain DOT logs and compliance.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
