Job summary

The Driving Desk is hiring experienced Class A CDL drivers for a local grocery delivery role based in Valparaiso, IN. You will enjoy daily home time, steady year-round freight, and routes across Northern Indiana and the Chicago area.

This position offers an activity-based pay structure with load, stop, and unload pay. Expect weekly earnings around $1,750–$1,850, plus bonuses and comprehensive benefits. Valid CDL-A and DOT medical card required; minimum 2 years’ verifiable experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL (required).
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum age 23 years old.
• Dry van or refrigerated experience preferred.
• Ability to unload freight using an electric pallet jack.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Must meet DOT and company hiring standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver palletized grocery freight to retail store locations.
• Safely operate Class A CDL equipment.
• Unload freight using an electric pallet jack.
• Place pallets in designated store locations.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain DOT compliance and accurate logs.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
