Job summary

Salt City Trucking in Perryville, MD is seeking a CDL-A Local Grocery Driver for the LIDL account. This active role involves hands-on pallet-jack loading/unloading, with routes across MD, PA, Staten Island, and New Jersey. Expect about 1,800 miles weekly, 7 days of operation, and shifts starting 6:00 PM–1:00 AM.

Position is local with daily home time. Compensation includes mileage pay, availability pay, and a Safe & On-Time Bonus; average weekly pay is around $1,792, with potential up to $2,308.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable CDL-A experience.
• Able to load/unload freight with a pallet jack.
• Able to lift/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to commute daily.
• Comfortable with evening/night schedules.
• Available for a 7-day operation.

Responsibilities

• Drive and manage dedicated local grocery freight.
• Load and unload using pallet jacks at shipper/receiver.
• Make approximately 10–20 stops per week across MD, PA, NY/NJ.
• Return freight to Perryville distribution center.
• Operate in an active, hands-on driving position.
