Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Grocery Driver for the Perryville, MD area. This role covers a dedicated local grocery account with approximately 1,800 miles weekly, daily home time, and 7-day operation.

You will load/unload freight with pallet jacks and handle 10–20 stops across MD, PA, Staten Island, and NJ, returning freight to Perryville. The position requires a valid Class A CDL, 3 months of experience, ability to lift 75 lbs, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• Able to load/unload freight with a pallet jack.
• Able to lift/pull 75 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to commute to work daily.
• Comfortable with evening/night schedules.
• Available for a 7-day operation.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid DOT Medical Card.
• No SAP drivers.

Responsibilities

• Dedicated local grocery freight.
• Drivers load and unload using pallet jacks.
• Approximately 10–20 stops per week.
• Routes through Maryland, Pennsylvania, Staten Island, and New Jersey.
• Freight returns to the Perryville distribution center.
• Active, hands-on driving position.
