Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a Local CDL A Flatbed Driver for our Transportation team. This role delivers products to stores, with potential pickups as needed, and requires a current CDL A and a clean MVR.

Drivers are home every night with local routes. Responsibilities include safe transport of block, mortar, and materials, following dispatcher instructions, conducting pre-trip inspections, and complying with all safety regulations and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold CDL A with clean MVR.
• Must be able to operate a gas-powered delivery trailer safely.
• At least 2 years of current CDL experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Transport block, mortar, and all materials to job site safely.
• Receive invoice and directions from dispatcher and follow them.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report concerns.
• Operate tractor-trailer according to laws and safety regulations.
• Monitor and report problems with equipment, product quality, and customer satisfaction.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for the delivery of products sold to stores. In some instances, the drivers may be required to make pick-ups as needed. Current CDL A license and clean MVR are required. Local deliveries and home every night.

Job Responsibilities

• Transport block, mortar, and all other materials to job site in a safe manner
• Receive from dispatcher invoice for materials, directions to job site and any special instructions and follow them to the detail
• Perform pre-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and report immediately any concerns or problems
• Operate tractor-trailer/vehicle according to state and federal laws and observe all safety regulations established by the company and DMV
• Monitor and immediately report problems with assigned equipment operations, product quality, customer satisfaction and traffic

Job Requirements

• High school diploma / equivalent
• Must be able to operate a gas-powered delivery trailer safely and efficiently
• Experience with forklift
• Must have CDL A
• Must have at least 2 years of current CDL experience
• Clean MVR
• Detail-oriented
• Must have good communication skills
• Good knowledge of the product for product quality assurance
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Required DOT yearly physical
• Employee is frequently required to climb
