Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with air brake endorsement and no manual transmission restrictions.
• 2+ years of over-the-road driving experience; flatbed experience preferred.
• Motor vehicle record with no major offenses in the last 3 years.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated mechanical and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer combination safely and efficiently to transport assigned loads.
• Secure all loads prior to transport and maintain proper securing.
• Inspect company vehicles/trailers and report maintenance needs.
• Check in with the transportation department daily for assignments and updates.
• Follow railroad protection limits and proper radio communications.
• Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and equipment, including housekeeping.
• Accurately complete and maintain drivers logs in accordance with requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Report all job site incidents and injuries to Transportation Manager promptly.
• Complete and maintain all required safety training and certifications.
