Job description

Position Summary:
Merchandisers work in local stores to keep Coca-Cola products fully stocked on the shelves. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and merchandising products at all designated accounts.

Position Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Maintaining product in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by identifying replenishment needs, transporting product between backroom and display floor with manual equipment (e.g., pallet jack, hand truck), utilizing hand tools, replenishing, facing, and rotating product, building and taking down displays, maintaining signage, cleaning, and securing damaged or defective product.
  2. Managing backroom by organizing and consolidating backstock, monitoring inventory levels, and evaluating damaged product.
  3. Re-packing and organizing backroom materials such as pallets and shells.
  4. Operating powered equipment (e.g., straddle stacker, pallet jack) and manual equipment.
  5. Completing store documentation and maintaining cleanliness of the backroom.
  6. Communicating with store and company personnel regarding the status and concerns of your areas of responsibility.
  7. Reporting unsafe working conditions and attending company training and certifications.
  8. Following company and store policies, local, state, and federal laws, and utilizing mobile devices and operating vehicles as required.
  9. Providing customer service by resolving concerns, answering questions, and assisting in locating products.
  10. Performing other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years old or meet minimum state legal age requirements.
  • Six (6) months of relevant work experience, such as in warehouse, construction, or healthcare environments involving heavy lifting.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs regularly.
  • Must pass a post-offer drug test and background check.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Beverage industry experience.
  • Customer service experience and problem-solving skills.
  • One year of experience with manual or powered pallet jacks.
  • Straddle stacker and powered pallet jack certifications.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for at least 6 hours and walk at least 4 miles during the shift.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to read various print sizes.
