Local CDL A Driver w/ Crane Certification

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The primary duty of the Driver, also called a Logistics Specialist II, with or without a Crane Operator certification, is to deliver building materials to customers or job sites. Drivers operate within a maximum of a 200-mile radius from their home branch, with deliveries originating and ending at the branch, ensuring no overnight stays.

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations
• Lead job site safety by operating equipment according to local, state, and federal laws
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Validate and confirm inventory loaded on the truck, compare purchase orders, sign delivery tickets, and verify addresses and routing information prior to departure
• Conduct job site inspections, document existing damages, and note the location of utilities and obstacles such as power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, and fences
• Capture pictures of all delivered building products following company policy

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each, off a straight bed truck; forklift or Moffett experience is a plus
• Safe driving record with no recent hit & runs, DWI, or DUI convictions within the last three years; recent accidents or violations will be reviewed
• Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations are advantageous
• Experience in distribution is a plus
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Minimum age of 18; 21 if crossing state lines or transporting hazardous materials
• Pass a drug test, possess a current DOT medical certificate, and have no positive drug tests in the past 12 months
• Authorized to work in the U.S., pass an E-Verify check, and be a U.S. citizen or legal resident
