Job summary

BrandSafway is seeking a CDL A Driver to deliver and pick up scaffolding equipment for local routes to and from the Carlstadt, NJ Yard and job sites in the New York City area.

The role involves operating a tractor trailer 75-80% of the day, with time also spent maintaining the yard and assisting warehouse staff. Local deliveries, regulatory compliance, and safety are core parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Class A driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to operate CMVs over 10,000 lbs GVWR.
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently.
• Ability to complete forklift training programs if applicable.
• Previous experience in the construction industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist scaffold crews and warehouse staff with loading/unloading and organizing equipment.
• Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and managers.
• Drive tractor trailer or other vehicles and follow applicable safety rules and regulations (US DOT/FMCSA).
• Ensure safety equipment and documents are current and valid.
• Maintain truck and cab cleanliness and organization.
