Job summary

BrandSafway is seeking a CDL A Driver to deliver and pick up scaffolding equipment to and from customers. You will perform local deliveries and pickups around Carlstadt, NJ and the NYC area, operating a tractor trailer 75-80% of the day.

When not on the road, you’ll assist with yard/warehouse maintenance and organization. The role requires a valid Class A license, ability to pass DOT and background checks, and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid Class A driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to operate CMVs over 10,000 lbs GVWR.
• Ability to obtain a federal DOT Medical Certificate.
• Ability to pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading/unloading and organizing equipment.
• Communicate effectively with customers, crew, and management.
• Drive a pickup, flat bed, or tractor trailer and comply with US DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Ensure safety equipment and documents are current and in the vehicle.
• Maintain vehicle condition and cleanliness.
• Keep accurate time records for inspections and activities.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and cargo securement checks.
• Report safety or mechanical issues to a supervisor.
• Safely transport equipment to jobsites and warehouses.
• Operate forklifts as applicable.
