Job summary

US Foods is seeking Class A Delivery Drivers for the North Portland yard. Local routes with early morning starts and a typical 4-5 day work week. You will deliver meats, produce, frozen goods, and more to customer sites, ensuring timely deliveries and excellent service.

Minimum six months of commercial driving experience required, CDL A with endorsements, and ability to lift up to 80 pounds. Benefits include health insurance, pre-tax accounts, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid U.S. driver's license with endorsements if required.
• No more than two convictions in the past two years for traffic violations; no DUI in past three years.
• Minimum six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months in food/beverage delivery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class customer service.
• Deliver customers’ orders to meet scheduled delivery times and maintain productivity.
• Unload products with a hand truck and place items in the customer storage area.
• Able to perform repeated, heavy lifting up to 80 pounds.
• Make frequent stops during a work shift.
• Deliver product in inclement weather conditions.
• Verify delivery with customers.
• Collect money (cash or checks) where needed.
