Job summary

The Ground Up is seeking a CDL A Driver for Houston, TX. The role focuses on safe delivery of soils, mulch, compost, and other TGUT products throughout the Houston metro area, collaborating with dispatch and shop personnel to ensure on-time, professional service.

You will operate both manual and automatic trucks, adhere to DOT rules, and maintain a clean MVR while sustaining a high standard of professionalism and customer interaction.

Qualifications

• Valid State-issued CDL Class A license.
• Three (3) years commercial driving experience with face-to-face customer interaction.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• End dump experience.
• Able to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Knowledgeable of FMCSA regulations and vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver soils, mulch, compost, and other TGUT products safely and efficiently.
• Operate assigned trucks and ensure proper loading and securing of cargo.
• Notify management of mechanical problems during delivery.
• Follow company and DOT procedures; inspect vehicle daily.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adherence to schedules.
• Submit paperwork accurately and timely; maintain good attendance and reliability.
