Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Lancaster, PA is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for local home daily routes within a 150 mile radius of Lancaster. Day cab tractors, dry van 53’, and on-site training are provided to support safe, efficient deliveries.

Positions offer weekly pay, a base rate of $29.31/hr plus a $6.11/hr wellness stipend, 40 hours weekly, and various benefits. Start times vary; USPS requirements apply to this account.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test.
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check incl. drug/alcohol verification for last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in tractor trailer or comparable vehicle.
• 9 months experience in last 3 years OR 2 years in last 5 OR 5 years in last 10.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading if required by customer
• Performs other duties as assigned
