Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking a professional CDL driver to operate a Class A tractor-trailer, delivering freight to local and regional customers. You will perform thorough vehicle inspections, comply with DOT regulations, and maintain accurate logs while coordinating with dispatch and customers.

The role offers home daily routes, overtime pay, and benefits after 90 days, with Monday–Friday availability and potential weekend work. A strong safety record and reliable communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with at least 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Clean driving record with safe driving history; no DUI/OWI in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Follow DOT regulations, safety procedures and company policies.
• Secure and handle freight; load/unload as needed.
• Maintain logs and delivery documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch, customers, and team members.
• Report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Adhere to schedules with safe driving habits.
