Job summary

BlueLinx is seeking a CDL A truck driver in Brooklyn Park, MD. You will deliver freight with flatbed and curtain side trailers, ensuring loads are secured with straps and no tarping, and maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

This full-time role offers a starting pay of $33.77 per hour, benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and tuition reimbursement. You will be home every night and weekend, with first shift hours and a focus on reliable equipment and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe Driving Record.
• Ability to secure loads.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads with straps; no tarping.
• Deliver freight accurately and on time; handle returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and resolve issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.
