Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking a Class A CDL driver to join our first-shift team. You will be responsible for securing loads, delivering freight, and maintaining DOT logs while representing the company with customers on a daily route.

You’ll work with modern equipment, enjoy home daily schedules, and participate in comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Priorities include safety and on-time delivery in a supportive driver community.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record.
• Minimum 21 years old and 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years.
• Safe driving record; ability to operate flatbed and curtain side trailers (no tarping).

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads with strapping (no tarp).
• Deliver freight accurately and handle returns when required.
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and resolve issues.
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform required DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logs and complete trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.
