Job summary

DSV is seeking a CDL-A Local Driver assigned to Sterling/Cupertino, VA, with home daily deliveries and regional routes. The role offers a $5,000 sign-on/retention bonus and a competitive benefits package, including health coverage and 401(k) with company match.

Local work; daytime shifts with sign-on bonus and daily home time. Experience with DOT regulations and safe driving is required.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required.
• Minimum 2 years verified experience within the past 4 years; 3+ years preferred.
• Medical certificate per 49 CFR 391.41.
• No positive drug or alcohol tests in past 5 years.
• No accidents involving bodily injury in past 3 years.
• No DUI/DWI, reckless driving or speeding tickets in past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform local pickup and delivery (P&D) routes; home daily.
• Safely operate a CDL A vehicle following DOT and company rules.
• Complete multiple stops daily including pickups, deliveries, and returns.
• Provide white glove service and handle high-value or time-sensitive freight.
• Communicate with customers; ensure high service standards at delivery points.
• Accurately complete shipping documents, PODs, and ELDs.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
