Job summary
The Driving Desk in Shafter, CA is hiring experienced Class A CDL Drivers for a dedicated local retail fleet. You’ll enjoy daily home time, 100% no-touch freight, and modern equipment while serving retail locations across Southern California.
This local position offers consistent freight, weekend work, 2 consecutive days off weekly, and dispatches mainly between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Applicants must have at least 6 months of verifiable Class A experience, live within the hiring area, and pass DOT
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience.
- Must live within the approved hiring area (Shafter, CA area).
- Able to pass DOT drug screening and background check.
- Comfortable with weekend work and afternoon/evening dispatch times.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle.
- Deliver dedicated retail freight throughout Southern California.
- Transport both dry van and refrigerated trailers.
- Complete approximately 2–3 stops per route.
- Return backhaul freight to the distribution center.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain electronic logs and DOT compliance.
