Thedrivingdesk is hiring experienced Class A CDL drivers for a local dedicated retail fleet based in Shafter, California. This role offers daily home time, 100% no-touch freight, and modern equipment while delivering to retail locations across Southern California.

Applicants should have at least 6 months of Class A experience, be able to work weekends, and reside within 50 miles of Shafter, CA. Routes run primarily in Southern California with evening dispatch times.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 6 months of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience
• Must live within the approved hiring area
• Comfortable operating both dry van and refrigerated trailers
• Available to work weekends
• Comfortable with afternoon and evening dispatch times
• Ability to pass DOT drug screening, background check, and meet company safety standards

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle
• Deliver dedicated retail freight throughout Southern California
• Transport both dry van and refrigerated trailers
• Complete approximately 2–3 stops per route
• Return backhaul freight to the distribution center
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain electronic logs and DOT compliance
