Job summary

Polaris Freightways is hiring an experienced Local CDL A Driver for our Intermodal fleet based in Portland, Oregon. This role offers a local, home-daily schedule on a dedicated route with multiple daily dispatches and a five-day workweek (option for a sixth day for extra earnings).

Drivers operate day cabs for about 10 hours per shift, handling a mix of live-load and drop-and-hook freight. Valid CDL-A and recent tractor-trailer experience are required plus DOT compliance.

Qualifications

Polaris Freightways has an opportunity for experienced Class A drivers to join our local Intermodal fleet based in Portland, Oregon.

This is a solo driving position offering an average weekly pay of $1,850+, daily home time, local dedicated route with multiple dispatches during the shift and a five-day schedule, with the option of a sixth day for additional earnings.

Drivers operate day cabs approximately 10 working hours per day, mix of live-load and drop-and-hook freight.

Driver Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• At least three months of tractor-trailer driving experience within the last 12 months
• Drivers with other experience during the last 10 years may qualify when their time driving is equal to or greater than their time away from driving
• Ability to meet DOT and company hiring standards
