Job summary

Crescent in Kentucky is seeking a Driver to transport products to Crescent customers safely and efficiently. The role requires accurate loading, on-time deliveries, and reporting of any overages or damages.

Qualifications

  • CDL Class A with endorsements required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate vehicle to transport products to Crescent customers.
  • Secure loads and ensure compliance with weight limits and DOT rules.
  • Maintain vehicle and report defects to supervisor.
  • Provide courteous customer service and on-time deliveries.
  • Assist in loading/unloading and train other drivers as needed.

Position Summary

The Driver is responsible for the efficient and safe transportation of products to Crescent customers to fulfil customer requirements. The driver is also responsible for the timely reporting of overages, shortages and damages

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • SafetyEnsure Safe and well-maintained work environment and conditions throughout all work spaces, vehicles, facility and surrounding areas
  • Properly secure loads and assure loads are within legal weight limits
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation standards and regulations
  • Maintain a good driving record
  • Report any vehicle problems and defects to manager or lead
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, safety issues, and perform preventative maintenance
  • PeopleEnsure good customer service relations by consistently delivering orders on time and acting in a courteous and professional manner
  • Train and monitor other drivers to ensure they work in a safe and responsible manner
  • Promote a Work Environment where Crescent People are valued, respected and can safely communicate, grow and develop
  • ProductivityUnload or assist in unloading as well as secure loads as required
  • All other duties as assigned, including but not limited to the identification and training of other drivers
