SRS Distribution Inc. Frisco, TX is seeking a CDL Driver to safely deliver building materials within a 200‑mile radius, perform on‑load inspections, verify inventory, and coordinate with customers on site.

Job description

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, verify inventory accuracy, and ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries.
• Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards, collaborate with customers for material placement, and document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Be physically capable of long hours driving and handling materials up to 100 lbs. Load/unload with forklifts or manually, work in varied weather and noisy environments, and read job‑related documents in English. SRS provides reasonable accommodation and promotes a diverse, inclusive workplace.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Operate forklifts safely, work in varied conditions, communicate effectively in English, be 18 + (21 for interstate/hazmat), pass background checks, drug tests, E‑Verify, and verification via FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement, strong vehicle maintenance skills, experience with multi‑drop deliveries, familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement; multilingual abilities are a plus.

Certifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL B) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate (required).
• Forklift Certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration (required).

Working Conditions

Long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather conditions within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays. Safe, timely deliveries, on‑site coordination, occasional yard support. Requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
