Sysco’s Sygma Carolina unit is hiring a tractor-trailer driver to safely transport products from the warehouse to customers, load and unload goods, and ensure proper documentation and compliance with company and DOT guidelines.

The role emphasizes accurate deliveries, adherence to safety procedures, and maintaining vehicle and warehouse cleanliness while working the assigned schedule including potential overtime to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
• Completion of a tractor trailer driving school will be accepted instead of, or in addition to a high school diploma.
• Commercial Vehicle Drivers must have the ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and to make entries on reports.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location and ensures timely delivery per route.
• Unloads product from trailer by hand or with a hand cart, following safety and handling procedures.
• Maintains and submits all required paperwork (logs, inspections, maintenance reports, invoices) accurately and on time.
• Ensures food safety protocols and sanitary conditions in vehicle, warehouse, and yard.
• Maintains equipment and reports any unsafe conditions to management.
