Job summary

Thedrivingdesk is hiring Class A CDL Truck Drivers for a local dedicated retail delivery role serving the Madison, Wisconsin area. You will deliver boxed retail merchandise to store locations using 53-foot dry van trailers, with routes predetermined and typically 2–4 deliveries per day.

This is a physically active driving job requiring hand unloading of freight, early start around 4:00 AM, home daily, and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Minimum 6 months of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must reside within ~50 miles of Madison, WI 53701.
• Able to repeatedly lift/unload boxes up to 100 pounds.
• Must unload approximately 50–300 boxes per stop.
• Early start times around 4:00 AM.
• Willing to work two Saturdays per month, with extra Saturdays during peak seasons.
• DOT and company safety qualifications must be met.
• SAP drivers are not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver retail merchandise to store locations in the region.
• Operate within roughly 350-mile radius of Madison, WI.
• Complete about 2–4 delivery stops per day.
• Hand unload 50–300 boxes per stop.
• Use pallet jacks when required.
• Follow routes and schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain delivery records.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch about deliveries and delays.
