Job summary

SA Recycling, a leader in metals recycling, is hiring a CDL Class A/B Driver for local, home daily roll-off operations in Downtown Los Angeles. You will operate various roll-off equipment, load scrap metal, and coordinate with the office to determine loads.

The role requires 3 years of CDL driving, a DOT medical card, background check clearance, and a willingness to work with a diverse team. Competitive benefits and weekly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• 3 years CDL driving experience with consistent job history.
• Must pass a medical DOT physical and drug test.
• Background check required; clean MVR; consent to Clearing House.
• High school diploma or GED; foreign education acceptable.
• Bi-lingual English & Spanish a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks hauling scrap metal.
• Inspect and determine metal grade for inventory tracking.
• Perform DOT daily operation and safety inspection.
• Communicate with office and customers to determine commodities to load.
• Work independently when driving scrap metal.
• Assist customers to satisfy needs and resolve problems.
• Maintain a safe yard with other employees in the scrap metal area.
• Perform daily maintenance: refueling, lubrication, cooling system cleaning.
