Job summary

County Waste Complex LLC is seeking a full-time truck driver to support the Residential line of business. The role involves managing garbage cart inventory, making deliveries, swapping damaged containers, and collecting carts from cancelled accounts.

Responsibilities include driving along routes, inspecting the vehicle, interacting with customers and dispatchers, and completing required safety and productivity reports.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior truck driving experience.
• Clean MVR.
• 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order and report safety issues on standard reports.
• Safely operate the truck along the designated route, read route sheet, follow map and service each customer as identified or assigned by dispatcher.
• Courteously interact with all customers and dispatchers to ensure routes are serviced timely and professionally.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per procedures.
• Monitor the vehicle condition to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize downtime.
• Complete route/productivity sheets, DVIR and other required reports.
• Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
• Safely operate his or her truck along his or her designated route; read route sheet, follow map and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor.
• Courteously interact with all customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers in accordance with applicable departmental procedures.
• Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, DVIR and other reports, as required.
• Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
