Amwaste is seeking a Residential route driver to manage garbage cart inventory, perform deliveries, swap damaged containers, and collect carts from cancelled accounts. You will serve customers courteously and follow safety rules on every run.

Daily vehicle inspections, adherence to safety standards and state/federal regulations are required. You will read route sheets, service customers on schedule, maintain logs, and work closely with dispatchers and teammates to keep routes efficient.

Responsabilités

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure safety and readiness.
• Safely operate the truck along designated routes and service customers as identified on the route sheet.
• Courteously interact with customers, dispatchers and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers per procedures.
• Monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime and maintain operational readiness.
• Complete route productivity sheets, DVIR, and other required reports.
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards to ensure timely service.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned; not an exhaustive list.

Amwaste is looking for a person to help with their Residential line of business. These individuals would be responsible for managing the garbage cart inventory, making deliveries, swapping out damaged containers, and picking up carts from cancelled accounts.

The individuals for this position must provide courteous services for customers. The driver must make sure all safety rules are adhered to in the course of business. In addition, the cart delivery driver is responsible for ensuring his or her vehicle is in compliance with the Company's safety standards and state and federal regulations. Driver must complete vehicle inspections daily. The driver must have good customer service skills, time management skills, and the ability to work well with a team.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
• Safely operate his or her truck along his or her designated route; read route sheet, follow map and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor.
• Courteously interact with all customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers in accordance with applicable departmental procedures.
• Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, DVIR and other reports, as required.
• Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department to ensure all customers are serviced in a timely and efficient manner.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• no experience required but two years of prior experience driving trucks.
