Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake in Baltimore, MD seeks a dependable Box Truck Driver to transport donated goods between stores and donation centers. The role combines driving, loading/unloading, inspections, and customer service. A strong safety record and hands-on approach are essential.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, accurate logs, cargo securing, and assisting with warehouse tasks when needed. This is a full-time, non-CDL driver position supporting Goodwill's mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating a box truck, straight truck or delivery vehicle is preferred.
• Experience in logistics or warehouse operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck to transport donated goods between Goodwill locations.
• Complete and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT requirements.
• Maintain driver logs and transportation records accurately.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise using liftgates, ramps, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Ensure cargo is secured and weight distributed to prevent shifting.
• Provide courteous customer service to donors, customers, and community members.
• Support donation drives and warehouse operations when transportation needs are light.
• Follow safety, fleet management, and loss prevention procedures.
