Job summary

A leading delivery service company is seeking a Delivery Driver in Tempe, Arizona. The role involves planning and executing delivery activities, maintaining vehicles, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and physical ability to handle heavy merchandise. Previous experience in delivery or customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • 3 months experience operating forklift/power equipment preferred.
  • 6 months experience in delivery or retail customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute delivery activities including preparing loads and following routes.
  • Unload, install, and check appliances and store equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and standard maintenance of delivery vehicles.

Skills

Job description

Job Requirements

Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Physical ability to move large, bulky, and/or heavy merchandise. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Appropriate Driver's License required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 months experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment.
  • 6 months experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service.
Position

Plan and execute delivery activities including preparing delivery loads, following planned delivery routes, and assisting with merchandise installations or returns. Also responsible for unloading, installing, and checking appliances and store equipment. Responsible for the cleanliness and standard maintenance of delivery vehicles, and observing safety procedures regarding Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Hazmat, and power equipment tools, including complying with reporting.
