Job summary

A leading delivery service is seeking dedicated Class A Drivers to execute delivery activities, including preparing loads and ensuring safe transport of merchandise. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be physically capable of handling heavy items. Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• 3 months experience operating forklift/power equipment preferred.
• 6 months experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute delivery activities including preparing delivery loads.
• Unload, install, and check appliances and store equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and standard maintenance of delivery vehicles.

Skills

Physical ability to move large, bulky, and/or heavy merchandise

Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic

Education

Valid state-issued driver's license

Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Appropriate Driver's License required.

Position

Plan and execute delivery activities including preparing delivery loads, following planned delivery routes, and assisting with merchandise installations or returns. Also responsible for unloading, installing, and checking appliances and store equipment. Responsible for the cleanliness and standard maintenance of delivery vehicles, and observing safety procedures regarding Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Hazmat, and power equipment tools, including complying with reporting.
