Job summary

East Coast Seafood Group (ECSG) seeks a Dock Worker for our Rockland, Maine wharf to assist in collecting and distributing live lobsters. The role runs May through December, with daily coordination with the location supervisor and a focus on safe, efficient, and quality handling of product.

Responsibilities include dock maintenance, loading, and thorough documentation while upholding ECSG's values of integrity, teamwork, and delivering high-quality seafood to customers.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, but some exposure to the lobster industry is a plus.
• A willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are essential.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily with the location supervisor about plans, issues, and concerns.
• Coordinate with team to handle lobsters efficiently and maintain quality.
• Maintain the dock's daily needs: crates, pallets, ice, bait, fuel, etc.
• Load trucks/trailers in an organized manner for easy identification of lots (lift 20+ lbs).
• Generate documentation for all transactions and keep records (bills of lading, load sheets, crate slips).
