The Lobby Host is responsible for welcoming guests and assisting in setting the tone for their experience through check-in and check-out processes, receiving payments, correcting account and reservation discrepancies, creating and canceling reservations, acting as a switchboard relief, providing luggage assistance, assisting with valet parking, and summoning cabs.

Responsibilities
- Always treat guests with courtesy and respect in various situations.
- Maintain honesty and integrity.
- Connect with guests daily, provide exceptional customer service, and create memorable experiences.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints.
- Report guest concerns to the Front Desk Supervisor/Duty Manager.
- Establish and develop long-term customer relationships, providing value and profitability.
- Enhance guests' stay by creating an inviting atmosphere.
- Coordinate and multi-task in an active environment.
- Assist with summoning third-party valet services and cabs.
- Maintain eye contact and use guest's name during interactions.
- Greet guests warmly and speak clearly and discreetly.
- Position at the main entrance to open and hold doors for guests.
- Open vehicle doors and greet guests.
Check-In and Check-Out Services
- Assist guests with kiosk check-in.
- Enter arrival alerts and messages.
- Correct inaccuracies on guest accounts.
- Post charges and complete daily high balance checks.
- Manage group and tour check-ins and check-outs.
- Familiarize guests with hotel facilities and amenities to promote sales.
- Update guest profiles with correct billing info, preferences, and requests.
Luggage Assistance
- Assist arriving guests with luggage.
- Escort guests to rooms and handle luggage.
- Secure and store luggage, retrieve for departure.
- Use bell carts and lift luggage as needed.
Arrival and Room Moves
- Escort guests to rooms with luggage.
- Familiarize guests with room features and hotel facilities.
- Coordinate with Front Desk for room changes.
Guest Interactions
- Maintain good posture and friendly interactions.
- Coordinate with Front Desk for special requests.
- Familiarize with VIPs and arrivals.
- Assist with guest requests, errands, and deliveries.
Guest Store
- Maintain store and conduct sales.
- Understand products and communicate features.
- Report inventory monthly.
Guest Service Relations
- Report guest concerns and comments.
- Provide concierge services.
- Investigate and resolve guest charges and complaints.
- Check messages and mail.
- Book reservations via phone, walk-in, email, or fax.
- Upsell rooms to maximize revenue.
- Assist with luggage, packages, and cabs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Reconciliation
- Balance cash daily.
- Deposit cash and handle safe and bank procedures.
- Ensure billing and paperwork compliance.
- Handle sensitive guest information professionally.
Cash Handling
- Accept deposits and post to accounts.
- Make change and balance cash floats.
Compensation
Requirements
- Experience in hospitality, retail, or service industries preferred.
- Ability to stand for up to 6 hours.
- Proficient in computer and typing skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
