Job summary

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a dynamic Bar Runner to join our oceanfront team. You will be the essential link between kitchen, bar, and service staff, delivering orders promptly and ensuring guests receive perfectly presented items.

The ideal candidate has a guest-focused approach, works well in a team, stays calm under pressure, and can adapt to a busy setting. Flexible weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• This position requires bending, lifting, and carrying. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverage orders promptly and accurately, ensuring presentation meets Loews' quality standards.
• Coordinate with bartenders and servers to ensure correct items are delivered to guests.
• Provide guests with utensils, napkins, and condiments to enhance their experience.
• Communicate special requests or modifications clearly and professionally.
• Respond to guest inquiries related to food orders with courtesy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and service teams to maintain smooth operations.
• Clear empty plates, reset tables quickly, and keep the bar area clean and organized.
• Assist with restocking bar service items and closing duties.

• Maintain and clean trays and serving equipment throughout your shift.

• Assist with restocking and organizing bar service items, including plates, utensils, and condiments.

• Support closing duties such as cleaning, trash removal, and resetting for the next shift.

• Regular attendance in conformance with standards.

• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.

• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
