Job summary

Following established policies and department procedures, responsible for underwriting less complex new and renewed credits, modifications, and amendments. Support Loan Officers in customer service and loan processing. Assist in monitoring and training assistant-level staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Support lending team's customer service and loan processing
• Underwrite less complex new and renewed credits, modifications, and amendments
• Provide quality customer service and follow up on outstanding items
• Prepare required disclosure information within designated time frames
• Ensure compliance with Bank, regulatory and credit requirements with emphasis on quality customer service while adhering to given deadlines
• Assist with mentoring and training loan assistants

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: College graduate with major in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
• Experience: 3-4 years corporate commercial lending and banking experience with good knowledge of lending regulations, loan funding/closing, and credit/underwriting practices.
• Skills/Ability: PC proficient. Good verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (English/Mandarin or Cantonese) a plus. Organized and detail oriented. Good knowledge of Bank's credit underwriting policies and approval process for assigned loans. Ability to manage loan funding/closing and complex loan issues. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high production environment. Strong financial analysis and accounting skills.

OTHER DETAILS

$25.96 – $31.25 / hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
