We are seeking aLoan Specialist to join Zions Bancorporation. The Loan Specialist will:
- Provide administrative and/or operational support within the one or more of the following loan areas, processing, presentations, servicing, documentation, notes, etc.
- Assist with closing and disbursements on a limited basis
- Clear identified loan exceptions.
- Maintain files, documents, notes, etc. as needed
- Verify completeness of files with all necessary documents and signatures required
- Research and resolve lending inquiries and issues
- Work with lenders in resolving discrepancies in various documentation
- Ensure all applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures are followed
- Prepare and/or track disbursements, loan documents, reports, obtain credit and/or financial information
- May perform review of loan and collateral documents and loan packages to ensure the bank's security interest and adherence to established policies and procedures
- Update the loan system with pertinent collateral and collateral exception information
- Perform other suties as needed.
Requirements
- Requires High School diploma or equivalent and 6+ years banking or loan processing, documentation, servicing, or other directly related experience
- A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
- College degree preferred
- Expert knowledge of lending processes, principles, documentation, exceptions, collateral review, payments, and loan systems
- Strong working knowledge of general banking process and procedures helpful
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have excellent organizational and customer service skills
- Must be accurate, possess numeric and verbal aptitudes.
- Excellent research and audit skills
- Ability to work in a demanding environment, complete processes, and meet deadlines
- Advanced working computer knowledge and various word processing, spreadsheet, or related software.
Location
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company’s primary technology and operations center.
