Sound Credit Union is seeking a Loan Specialist to join our team, focusing on indirect and consumer lending underwriting and funding. This role supports members and the community with a commitment to service excellence.

You will underwrite, process, fund and service all types of consumer loans, maintain strong dealer relationships, and assist members with inquiries in a friendly, professional manner. We offer a hybrid workweek and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience processing and underwriting consumer loans.
• Consideration for related experience and skills to perform duties.
• Dealer funding environment preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Your Compensation:

Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered and provide room for growth over time. The target salary range for this position is $25.77 - $32.21, depending on previous experience and education. The full salary range is $25.77 - $38.65.

What You’ll Do:

• Underwrite, process, fund and service all types of consumer loans for both the Indirect Lending and Consumer Lending departments.
• Maintaining excellent business relationships with participating dealerships.
• Assist members with inquiries, requests, and/or problems in a friendly, respectful, courteous, and professional manner.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience processing and underwriting consumer loans required. Consideration for years of related experience and/or demonstrated knowledge and skills to perform essential duties may be given.
• Dealer funding environment preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

In addition:

• Must be bondable.
• Employer sponsorship to secure or maintain employment authorization is not available.

Our Hours:

A hybrid five-day workweek with rotating weekend coverage. Hours are 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday-Saturday and 8:30 AM to 5 PM on Sunday.

In your role you will have the ability to combine in-person and remote work.
