Job summary

Arise Financial, a newly branded credit union in Canton, MA, seeks a Loan Servicing Specialist II - Consumer to manage complex consumer loan servicing tasks. You will resolve issues, maintain accurate data, and mentor Level I staff, while collaborating with internal teams.

This hybrid role is based in Canton with three onsite days weekly. The role requires 3-5 years in loan servicing, strong analytical capabilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; lease servicing/GAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in loan servicing, banking operations, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of consumer loan servicing, including auto, unsecured, and lease products.
• Experience with reconciliation, reporting, and exception handling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams.
• Preferred: hands-on experience with lease servicing or GAP processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced servicing activities across consumer loan products, including complex transactions, adjustments, and exception processing.
• Process and review payoffs, billing activities, and account maintenance to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, research variances, and resolve discrepancies independently.
• Analyze servicing reports and identify issues related to payments, billing, and account status.
• Serve as a point of contact for escalated member and internal inquiries, providing resolution and guidance.
• Use servicing systems and vendor platforms to manage loan activity and ensure data integrity.
• Support specialized workflows such as lease servicing, GAP processing, and exception handling.
• Assist with quality control reviews and ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide guidance and informal support to Level I staff.

About the Role

As a Loan Servicing Specialist II - Consumer, you’ll be a trusted expert on our consumer loan portfolio, handling more complex servicing work with increasing independence. You’ll resolve issues, keep our data accurate, and help our members and internal teams get the answers they need. You’ll also share your knowledge with Level I team members and help us find better ways to work. This is a hybrid position based in our Canton, MA office, with three days onsite each week.
