Job summary

Citizens Bank in Kilgore, TX seeks a Loan Services Representative to prepare and review documentation for consumer, commercial, and real estate loans in compliance with banking regulations.

Responsibilities include entering data in PPDocs and Compliance One, checking title commitments and appraisals, and providing clerical support while coordinating with other departments. High school diploma or GED required with 1 year loan-doc experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience preparing consumer and commercial loan documents.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; 30 wpm typing; 10-key calculator by touch.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter loan data into processing software (PPDocs, Compliance One).
• Review loan file documentation for missing or erroneous information.
• Identify credit and collateral document exceptions to ensure lien perfection.
• Process and review loans verifying title commitments, deeds of trust, promissory notes, applications, and appraisals.
• General filing with some clerical duties.
• Provide support to all areas of the department as directed.
• Review computer data and create various reports as needed.
• Coordinate with personnel from other departments and banking centers.
• Express or exchange ideas clearly by spoken word.
• Order and review real estate appraisals.

Loan Services Representative

Summary of Position

Reports to the Loan Administration Manager or designated officer, responsible for preparation and/or review of documents related to consumer, commercial, letters of credit, energy, SBA and real estate loans to ensure compliance with federal and state banking regulations and in accordance with bank loan policy.

Essential Functions

• Enter loan data into processing software including but not limited to PPDocs and Compliance One.
• Review loan file documentation for missing or erroneous information.
• Identify credit and collateral document exceptions, ensuring collateral lien perfection.
• Process and review loans verifying items such as title commitments, deeds of trust, promissory notes, applications, and appraisals.
• General filing with some other clerical duties.
• Provides support to all areas of the department as directed or where service or assistance is needed.
• Review computer data and create various reports as needed.
• Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with personnel from other departments and banking centers.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.
• Order and review real estate appraisals.

Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED with one year of experience preparing consumer and commercial loan documentation required. Knowledge of Windows based software including Word and Excel; good typing skills (30 wpm); proficient use of 10-key calculator by touch; knowledge of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, balancing; loan accounting and loan reconcilements). Excellent oral and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills required.
