Job summary

  • Demonstrate understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Perform data entry, review and submits reports.
  • Track reports and track exceptions.
  • Review and data-review of new and renewed loans, loan denials, HMDA for compliance, lien perfection and bank policies.
  • Document imaging of loan documents and verification of images.
  • Review insurance policies for loans to ensure continued coverage for collateral.
  • Perform tasks related to escrow loans.
  • Involve in the appraisal engagement process.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.

General Job Responsibilities

Community Bank Loan Quality Assistants provide support services regionally in various capacities. The assistants in this classification may carry different functional titles but have similar competencies and education and experience requirements. Specific requirements based on the designated responsibilities may be provided at the time of recruitment and hiring. Loan Quality Assistant positions include responsibilities for scanning documents, tracking and reporting, insurance verification, balancing, credit checks, government reporting and other documentation and reporting. The Community Bank Loan Quality Assistant must possess a thorough knowledge of all bank products and services; fully understand and adhere to all federal and state laws and the policies related to the industry and their particular section; and have the ability to research issues and respond to questions from staff. Community Bank Loan Control Assistants report to the Regional Chief Lending Officer or other designated Officer. Duties of the Loan Quality Assistant may include:

Education And Experience

Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent GED required. Experience: A minimum of three year\'s work experience in the banking industry preferred.
