Job Description

The Loan Officer Associate assists Loan Officers while developing skills to become a Loan Officer in the future. This role involves completing online and classroom educational sessions, along with operational and hands-on training by assisting Loan Officers and Division Managers.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

• Participate in formal training programs covering lending processes, loan types, credit assessment, and loan approval procedures.
• Complete testing for mortgage licensing and maintain up-to-date knowledge of RESPA through continuing education.
• Support loan application updates, maintain notes within the Loan Origination System, and assist with initial file setup.
• Engage in business development activities, including builder and realtor functions and local marketing campaigns.
• Act as a primary contact for borrowers, ensuring prompt responses via various communication channels and scheduling meetings as needed.
• Assist processors and closers in procuring loan documents and support internal team members; flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.

Your Toolbox

• High school diploma or equivalent required; BA or BS preferred.
• Mortgage or banking experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements

Regular in-person attendance at company sites and offices is essential. Ability to work in confined spaces, operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs/ladders, and lift equipment over 50 pounds is required.
