Role Description

We are seeking a long-term fit to grow with us as a Loan Officer Assistant (LOA). This is a full-time remote position that provides Branch Support to Loan Officer(s) by building and maintaining a positive relationships between all parties throughout the mortgage loan process and after closing, and to ensure future incoming business. Monitoring the status of applications and stay in constant contact with others involved in the application process to ensure that files are moving through the approval process and closing in a timely fashion. May include other business development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Loan Officers with the preparation and submission of loan applications.
  • Collect and organize necessary documentation from clients.
  • Communicate with clients to provide updates and gather additional information as needed.
  • Manage client files and ensure accurate data entry in the system.
  • Coordinate with underwriting and processing teams to ensure timely progress on loan files.
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars for Loan Officers.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for webinars.
  • Support on-line marketing efforts
  • Proactively engage in business development activities to generate referrals and build client relationships.
  • Maintain regular communication with referral partners and nurture professional networks.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Time.
  • Previous experience in mortgage lending, loan processing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Adhere and comply with all applicable Federal and State regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • General banking knowledge.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales-oriented mindset with a track record of building client relationships.
  • Proficiency with loan origination software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as closely and harmoniously with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized.
  • Previous Encompass system experience is helpful.

Education and Experience:

  • 2-3 Years Mortgage banking experience preferred and/or required based on position details
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
