Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Mortgage Loan Support Assistant to help review loan applications, prepare disclosures, and assist in pipeline management across conventional and government loan products. You will coordinate with loan officers, processors, and borrowers to ensure accurate documentation and timely closings.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in mortgage-related support, strong communication skills, and experience with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Review mortgage loan applications and documentation.
  • Deliver disclosures and packages to borrowers.
  • Create rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages.
  • Review loan files and coordinate with loan officers and processors.
  • Clarify/correct information and obtain additional details by phone or email.
  • Provide clerical and phone support to loan officers/processors.
  • Assist in pipeline management for conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203K, and reverse mortgage loans.
  • Deliver appraisals and property valuations to borrowers and retrieve receipt proof.
  • Track outstanding items and follow up to ensure timely documentation.
  • Assist in timely closings by coordinating with Title Company and borrower.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Assist in reviewing mortgage loan application and documentation, which may include phone and computer work, printing, copying, scanning, emailing, overnighting documents, etc.
  • Review mortgage loan disclosure packages and deliver them to the borrower.
  • Create rate disclosure and re-disclosure packages and deliver them to the borrower.
  • Review documents and entire loan files and work to prevent problems by highlighting deficiencies and then notifying the mortgage loan officer and/or loan processor.
  • Clarify/correct information and obtain additional information, as necessary, via phone, email, etc.
  • General clerical and phone support to loan officers and/or loan processors, as needed.
  • Work with management to provide support in various stages and areas of lending and processing as needed.
  • Assist in managing a pipeline consisting of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans, along with 203K and reverse mortgage products.
  • Deliver appraisals and/or property valuations to the borrower and retrieve proof of receipt.
  • Track outstanding items on all loan files and follow up with customers to ensure timely receipt of necessary documentation.
  • Facilitate timely loan closings by working directly with the Title Company and customer to schedule.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of mortgage-related experience, including customer contact.
  • Previous sales support experience, preferred.
  • Salesforce experience, preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
