This role is within the American Airlines Federal Credit Union. It is responsible for qualifying members to determine the appropriate loan program, completing loan applications, and keeping members informed of their loan status.

What you'll do
  • Assist members in completing online Home Equity applications using MeridianLink, provide disclosures, and obtain support documents
  • Negotiate loan terms and conditions in accordance with Credit Union policies
  • Set up loans, review documents, and gather necessary information
  • Order related services and process loans
  • Perform income analysis, including complex tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and S-corporations
  • Refer loans to underwriters
  • Serve as the primary contact from application to close, ensuring clear communication
  • Provide excellent member service
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet Credit Union goals
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve application and loan process issues
  • Stay updated on state regulations, especially regarding real property lending
  • Continuously improve processes and service quality
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ensure the security and confidentiality of all account information and compliance with applicable laws, including the Bank Secrecy Act
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Three or more years of mortgage loan origination and processing experience
  • Experience in customer service industry

Skills, Licenses, and Certifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn MeridianLink and other software
  • Knowledge of loan programs and documentation
  • Understanding of Credit Union interdepartmental relations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Strong math skills and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently with discretion
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
