Job summary

FirstBank is seeking a Credit Clerk to monitor, maintain, and process loan files and related documents to ensure perfected status of secured loans. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and timely processing in a banking environment.

Responsibilities include reviewing loan documentation, handling UCC/EFS filings, and producing correspondence while maintaining strict records and compliance with bank policies.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or G.E.D. equivalent.
• 1 year of professional banking experience such as Teller, Bookkeeping, administrative or lending knowledge is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records and files to reflect current status and activities of each loan.
• Review loan documentation on all new and renewed loans and extensions.
• Review denied applications.
• Process all paid loans on a daily basis.
• Purges files for storage, as time allows.
• File UCC and EFS continuations, as needed.
• Prepare internal and external correspondence concerning loan documentation, as needed.
• Track one time and recurring exceptions.
• Interact in a professional, courteous manner with co-workers, customers, prospective customers, visitors, vendors, etc.
• Scan and index loan documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
