First Bank & Trust is seeking a detail-focused Loan Documentation Specialist to review and index commercial and agricultural loan documents. You will perform pre-closing reviews in LOS and Synergy, ensuring collateral is properly documented and all items are complete and compliant.

Applicants should have an associate degree and 3 years of relevant experience, with strong critical-thinking and communication skills. This role requires on-site work in SF and offers a supportive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience in commercial or agricultural loan documentation preferred.
• Experience reviewing loan-file documentation and identifying deficiencies.
• Familiarity with LOS, Synergy, or imaging systems preferred.
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review loan packages for smaller, less complex business/ag credits and collateral completeness.
• Ensure accurate input of collateral information in the LOS.
• Perform pre-closing review in LOS and Synergy to confirm proper approvals and documentation.
• Identify needed documentation and communicate with business lines.
• Index and approve loan documentation scanned in at branch locations.
• Review and approve documentation in LOS for accuracy and proper categorization.
• Provide support to commercial and agricultural lending staff.
• Complete reporting for document-tracking system maintenance.
• Follow up on missing items and track outstanding documentation for collateral perfection.
• Adhere to bank policies and procedures and regulatory timelines.
