Job summary

FVCbank in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Loan Documentation Specialist to support Lending staff and Loan Administration in daily loan operations. You will prepare loan documentation, review approvals, and coordinate with title companies to ensure timely settlement.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining compliance with loan policies. Notary preferred; prior banking experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Highly organized work style and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task across loan files.

Responsibilities

• Receive new loan approvals, renewals, and extensions; coordinate with loan officer for missing docs.
• Engage title companies and order lien searches; review documentation for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Prepare loan documentation using LaserPro; forward to loan officer and SVP/AVP for review.
• Coordinate with attorneys when needed and collect required checklists for closing.
• Prepare closing instructions for title company prior to settlement.
• After settlement, prepare funding & booking forms and forward file to funding.
• Assist in documentation, closing, funding and booking of Lightning Lending Loans.
• Order checks for HELOCs as necessary.
• Upload/scan files to M-Files and maintain organized file storage.
• Update Loan Status Report daily to keep Lending Team informed.
• Manage post-closing ticklers and ensure all post-closing requirements are met.
